Polytunnel LoRaWAN sensor restored and transmitting!

Image
I'd been testing the slan-093 BME680 temperature/humidity/air pressure sensor at home the last few days and redeployed it in the polytunnel this morning. It's now happily transmitting its data every 30 mins via the Drumgeely TTN gateway! They will need covering before the sprinklers are in use! https://shannontownwetlands.ie/environmental-sensors/drumgeely-polytunnels

I cleaned the polytunnel gutters every few days and check on test plants and composter

Only a few leaves from the last time I cleared :) And the plants soil was very moist. Maybe someone else is watering? I added a few buckets of water to the composter

Sadly the weeds are back! Carpet rose beds

After giving a deep weeding a few months ago the weeds are back with a vengeance! Also a lot of pipe work is going on so the Dun an Oir and Corrib Drive rose beds may not survive.

Added flowers to Dún An Óir planter

Chatting in the Tidy Towns meeting last night I offered to donate some of the flowers in my yard (which will probably be composted in a couple of weeks) to this bare planter. So took some huge marigolds and the self-seeding nasturtiums to the planter. Rain is due later which is good and I tied them up against the wind. Good to see how similar planters fare as the weather becomes more wintery
