Continued to weed Dún an Óir rose bed and added QR sign

Image
Only spent 30 mins or so as also watered 8 railing baskets. Just have two sides to weed noe (leaving the Scarlet Pimpernel) and to rake over small weeds in centre.

Watered all eight Drumgeely Railing Baskets

Making lots of car trips I did a watering can (8 litres) in each of the eight hanging baskets.

Dún an Óir Rose bed had its centre weeded

Tony spent a couple of days forking up and then digging out the weeds from the centre of this bed. Still have the borders to do and to add a QR sign to this blog :) But a big improvement over how it was. He found the best approach was to fork up a meter of so the length of the bed and then use a garden trowel to get under the weed so all its roots were pulled out. He then bagged the roots (and collected any litter as he went in a separate bag) A lovely find was all the Scarlet Pimpernel around its border https://wildflowerfinder.org.uk/Flowers/P/Pimpernel(Scarlet)/Pimpernel(Scarlet).htm
